The Completion of Seosan Driving Test Center
Our company built a 1,097,000㎡ car driving test center and an eco-friendly and advanced research center in the Advanced
Bio Well-being Research Zone located in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. Its excellent accessibility with other
business sites was the main reason for establishing a large-scale driving test center in the city. As there is a cluster of
business sites nearby, such as the Chungju Eco-friendly Parts Plant, Jincheon Automotive Parts Manufacturing Plant,
Yogin Technology Research Center, and Hyundai-Kia MotorsNamyangResearch Center, synergy eect can be expected
when conducting business.
It is the rst domestic driving test center that consists of 14 driving lanes, including an advanced road surface such as
advanced driving lane, tunnel testing road, wide, circular, andclimbing low friction lanes. This Advanced Driving Lane is an
area which imitates the environment of anvirtual city and roads, established in order to develop autonomous driving
technology. We simulated actual road conditions such as ITS (Intelligent Transportation System), which is required to
verify the function of recognizing and controlling the technologies developed by combining cameras, radar, sensors,
as well as parking environment. The Tunnel Testing Laneis mainly used for actual driving test under the condition of
nighttime driving with smart head lamps, whereas the Low Friction Lane will be used for performance test of braking
safety and vehicle dynamic control on slippery surface roads or roads with slopes.
In addition, tests to verify the quality of the parts related to the actual driving will be conducted in the 4 testing blocks (performance test block, durability test block, eco-friendly test block, and battery test block). This is a strategy to accelerate the development of advanced intelligent safety parts by strengthening the capability of testing and verifying new technologies.
Other than that, the driving test center is equipped with various lanes with dierent purposes, such as high-speed driving circuits, general-purpose lanes, circular lanes, ooded lanes, sensor lanes, unpaved lanes, and others, for testing performance of ADAS (Advanced Driving Assist System), such as controlling / steering, SCC (Active Driving System), LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System), and so on. Our company has secured the capability of drive-testing and verication by establishing this advanced driving test center. We expectto shorten the period of developing nished cars while introducing quality innovation as this enables quick pre-development of individual parts and driving performance of actual cars.

现代摩比斯向GM供应ICS(中央集成单元, Intergrated Center Stack)，向FCA供应后组合灯(Rear Combination Lamp)。ICS为控制多媒体和辅助系统的尖端装置，由包括显示器在内的各类电子装置组成，是决定驾驶员便利性的核心零部件，现代摩比斯从2011年起向GM供应该零部件，并且正在与GM讨论扩大供应事宜，将该零部件用于更多代表性的轿车车型。
现代摩比斯供应的后组合灯被选为符合FCA“Quality First”政策的代表性事例。自2013年起，现代摩比斯向FCA美国工厂供应的数量达到100万辆，安装于FCA代表性车型Jeep Cherokee，该车型为长久以来深受美国人喜爱的代表性吉普车型，因此，仅从将本公司供应的零部件安装于该车型这一点，就可以看出FCA对现代摩比斯的信任。
